Noise-Induced Hearing Loss Estimation
This test method provides a standardized approach to estimate the risk of noise-induced permanent threshold shift (NIPTS) and hearing impairment resulting from occupational noise exposure. It combines noise exposure levels with audiometric data and population statistics to predict hearing loss in exposed workers. The assessment is critical for occupational health programs, regulatory compliance, and prevention of occupational deafness.
