Tensile Testing of Plastics

ISO 527 defines tensile testing methods for plastics and plastic composites, providing tensile modulus, strength, and elongation data essential for material selection and quality assurance. The standard covers five specimen types accommodating films, rigid materials, and fibre-reinforced composites. Results underpin material datasheets and regulatory submissions for automotive interiors, medical devices, and packaging.
