Urban Guided Transport Brake Systems Performance
This test evaluates the performance requirements and safety criteria for braking systems installed on urban guided transport vehicles such as trams, light rail, and metro systems. The standard specifies maximum braking distances, deceleration rates, and reliability requirements under various operating conditions and environmental factors. Accreditation for these tests is critical as brake system failures on urban transit can result in passenger safety hazards and service disruptions affecting thousands of daily commuters.
