Railway Passenger Ride Comfort Evaluation
This standard provides methods for measuring and evaluating passenger comfort in railway vehicles in relation to vibration and shock phenomena. It specifies measurement procedures, instrumentation requirements, and assessment criteria for vertical, lateral, and longitudinal vibrations across typical operating conditions. The test is essential for railway operators, vehicle manufacturers, and comfort engineering specialists to design and verify vehicles that meet passenger expectations and regulatory requirements. What it measures
