Hardness Testing of Metallic Materials
Hardness testing quantifies a material’s resistance to permanent surface deformation. Three principal methods cover the range from soft alloys to hardened steels: Brinell (ISO 6506), Vickers (ISO 6507), and Rockwell (ISO 6508).
