Traffic Noise Immission Measurement
DIN 45642 specifies standardized methods for measuring noise immissions from road and rail traffic at receiver locations. This test quantifies sound pressure levels and frequency characteristics of traffic noise in the environment, typically at building facades or sensitive areas. Municipalities, environmental authorities, and transportation agencies require this test to assess compliance with noise limit values and evaluate environmental impact.
