Traffic Vibration Assessment and Immission Evaluation

DIN 45672-2 provides procedures for evaluating and assessing vibration immissions near traffic routes against regulatory limits and reference values. The standard defines evaluation criteria, weighting functions, and methodology for interpreting measured vibration data to determine environmental impact and compliance with noise and vibration regulations. Accreditation for this test method ensures laboratories can objectively evaluate whether vibration levels pose health, comfort, or structural concerns in residential and sensitive areas. This assessment is fundamental for planning permission, mitigation measure design, and protecting residents in areas exposed to rail, road, or air traffic vibration.
