Railway Pass-By Noise Measurement
ISO 3095 defines the standardized method for measuring and reporting noise emitted by railbound vehicles during pass-by at a fixed observer position. This is the primary standard used to assess compliance with European TSI Noise limits and national environmental regulations for passenger and freight trains. Manufacturers, railway operators, and regulatory authorities depend on this test to demonstrate noise performance, support fleet certification, and document compliance with noise reduction requirements.
