Measurement and Evaluation of Railway Ride Comfort

EN 12299 establishes standardised methods for measuring and evaluating passenger ride comfort in railway vehicles through vibration analysis. The standard defines vibration indices including Nmv (main index), NVA (vertical), and NVD (lateral) to objectively quantify passenger comfort levels during train operation.
