Railway Vehicle Body Structural Requirements
This standard establishes structural design requirements for railway vehicle bodies, including load calculations, structural analysis methodologies, and safety criteria for passenger and freight trains. It covers body shell design, crashworthiness, and structural integrity under normal and exceptional operating conditions. Accreditation for structural validation testing ensures that vehicle designs meet rigorous safety standards and can withstand collision impacts, derailment scenarios, and fatigue over the vehicle's operational life.
